Welcome to June, the most exciting month of the year! It’s warming up with plenty of sunshine, baby birds, flowering plants, and Race Across the West preparation. Once again, Finish Line Ultra Crewing is pleased to support our client, James Jason Ingels from Orlando, Florida at this year’s race. Jason is ready to challenge himself again at this year’s RAW.
I want to mention our stellar crew for RAW 2018: my Senior Follow Fellow and partner, Michael Svihura, electronics & logistics master; Brian Hidy, bike mechanic extraordinaire; Borut Osojnik, superb, RAAM-experienced driver ; Simon Krek, massage and caregiver guru; and Brandy Ingels (Jason’s wife) who completes our crew and brings expert problem-solving skills and ultra-crewing experience.
A good race is a courteous, safe race. We here at Finish Line Ultra Crewing base all we do on safety, professionalism, empathy, and kindness. We know local drivers may not be very excited to see us in our slow-moving follow van (of course, only between the hours of 1900-0700). A smile and a wave go a long way to hopefully ease their frustration and maybe even interest them in the race.
James Jason Ingels has been training hard and smart and is ready to “Go Across” (at least to Durango) We as crew are excited, motivated, and ready to help get him there!
